https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eriocrania_sparrmannella This moth is found in most of Europe and in Japan. The adult moths fly from late April into May, have a metallic golden ground colour, intensely speckled with purple and blue. There is also a golden tornal spot.

Eggs are laid on the leaves of birch. Larva (VI-VIII) mines a leaf of the Betula. Larvae are whitish with a brown head. They feed inside a leaf, starting as a linear mine near the midrib, which widens to a blotch. The frass is in long threads. They hibernate in the soil. The larvae pupate in a tough cocoon in the soil in the spring.
