Arge cyanocrocea · pjūklelis

Readily distinguished from the others by the large dark smudge on the fore wings which extends right across the wing. The hind femora are usually orange with a black tip (occasionally darker). The costal area and basal veins of the forewing are orange as far as the dark stigma.

The larvae feed on the leaves of brambles, mainly blackberry (Rubus fruticosus), raspberry (Rubus idaeus) and great burnet (Sanguisorba officinalis).
