Length 9 to 13 mm. A slender very pale brown caddis fly with exceptionally long antennae. Antennae longer than the rest of the body, straw-yellow, without striations. The head, body and legs are ochre yellow. The body hair is also yellow. Wings from straw yellow to ochre yellow with yellow veins.

It lives in ponds, lakes, canals, slow moving rivers. It is also attracted to light. The larvae developing in water are predatory. Adults do not feed.
