Biotope: Mainly sandy forest edges, especially with pine trees, mid-forest dunes and forest clearings. Flies in April - May/June with the apogee of appearance in May (spring species, in the second half of June almost impossible to find). Adults feed on nectar. Phytophagous larvae feed on the roots of grasses and possibly other plants.‥
