The adults feed on nectar, pollen; it visits mainly flowers of the Asteraceae family. The larvae develop in the flower heads of plants of the Asteraceae; like Bidens genus, from which the Dioxyna bidentis name comes. It is similar to some species in the genus Campiglossa. 6014
