Philophylla caesio · minamusė

It is found in the Palearctic. Adults feed on honeydew, nectar. Larvae mine leaf petioles of plants from the family Perennisaceae (e.g. snowberry, honeysuckle), and nettles (Urtica) and perhaps other herbaceous plants.

Head yellow. Eyes greenish-red, separated by a wide forehead in both sexes. Scutum brown. Scutellum dark yellow. Abdomen black. Wings with a characteristic black pattern.

Similar: numerous other fruit flies, such as those of the genera Urophora and Rhagoletis have similar but slightly different wing patterns; especially often confused with Euleia heraclei.
