Native to Europe, this species has been introduced to northeast North America. Full sexual maturity is reached in August - September. Females lay eggs that remain for the winter. One generation per year. Host plants: Comarum palustre; Galium; Pilosella officinarum; Populus; Salix; Verbascum.
