  • magnolia Loebnera

Hybrid of the Japanese Magnolia kobus and Magnolia stellata. This hybrid was first bred in Germany in the early 20th century. Loebner Magnolia is a deciduous tree or large shrub that grows to a height of 3-9 m with a similar spread. It has an upright habit, often with multiple stems growing from the base, and it forms a rounded crown as it matures. One of the most stunning features of this plant is its flowers. While the blossoms are 10-15 cm, they are packed with up to 15 long and narrow tepals, creating an impressive floral display. Fragrant, the flowers can be pure white, blush pink, lilac pink, or pink. They are often followed by cone-like fruits that ripen to red in late summer.

Nedidelis krūmas ar medelis, augantis apie 3 – 5 m aukščio ir apie 3 m pločio. Žiedai stambūs, kvepiantys. Kairėnų botanikos sodas.
