Common in the whole of Europe. Lives on shrubs and trees, mainly conifers. Female 5 to 6 mm. Abdomen yellow-brown to reddish brown with two large white-fringed dark spots on the front side. Posteriorly often a leaf-shaped figure. Carapace yellow-brown to reddish brown. Legs and palps yellow-brown to reddish brown with faint dark annulations. Male 3 to 5 mm. Markings and colours almost identical to the female. Sometimes a little darker.
