https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lobelia_erinus Native to southern Africa, from Malawi and Namibia south to South Africa. Lobelia erinus is a popular ornamental plant, grown for its long flowering period, from mid spring to early autumn. It is perennial in subtropical climates, but grown as an annual plant in Lithuania. Some botanists place the genus and its relatives in the separate family Lobeliaceae (Lobelijiniai), others as a subfamily Lobelioideae within the Campanulaceae.
