The species prefers open biotopes with shrub vegetation in dry and warm locations. Isomira murina has a two-year development cycle. Adults feed on pollen. The larvae develop in the soil and feed on the roots of grasses, herbaceous plants and perennials. The beetles fly between May and August. They are often seen on flowering shrubs and Apiaceae plants.
