Habitat: Clayey shores of various bodies of water, including seas and large lakes; also muddy, shady places with clayey substrates. Body length 4.1-5.6 mm. Predatory, hunts small invertebrates.
Head narrower than pronotum behind eyes. Pronotum narrowed starting from about half its length. In posterior angles of pronotum lacking pits and ribs.
Asaphidion flavipes is similar bt the head behind the eyes is wider than the pronotum and in the posterior angles of the pronotum there are visible deep fossae separated by short ribs.
