https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borkhausenia_minutella It is found in Europe, most commonly in rural landscapes. It is to some extent synanthropic, being regularly found around traditional farm outbuildings and barns. But apparently, this species is not able to tolerate industrial agriculture well: it has been declining across its range during the 20th century.
May and June is the normal flight period for the adult moths. The larva feeds on dry vegetable matter and seeds.
