Head black. Pronotum completely black or with red sides. Scutellum black. Elytra intensely red or yellow-orange; on each elytra from 1 to 5 black spots. Female elytra matte, male's shiny. Legs not completely black – shins largely yellow-orange. Antennae bicoloured – initial segments yellow-orange. 3rd antennal segment twice as long as 5th segment; 4th segment only slightly shorter than 3rd segment.
Adults and larvae feed on willow leaves.
